In October 2025, China KEPEI Education Group organized 37 students from four of its institutions—Guangdong Technology College, Harbin Petroleum College, Huaibei Institute of Technology, and Ma'anshan College—to cross the China-Russia border and arrive in Vladivostok, known as the "Pearl of the Far East," for an overseas study tour themed "Reading the World." This activity was an important part of the group's international education practices, aiming to broaden students' global perspectives through a multidimensional approach combining academics, culture, and history, thereby fostering well-rounded development in a cross-cultural setting.

During the study tour, the delegation of teachers and students visited Far Eastern Federal University, the leading higher education institution in the Russian Far East. They toured its modern teaching facilities and biology laboratories, and participated in a specialized perfume-making experiment, gaining practical understanding of the integration between chemical knowledge and industrial application. The students also engaged in discussions with Chinese language majors at the university on topics including language acquisition and cultural differences, facilitating in-depth exchange between Chinese and Russian youth.

In the cultural immersion segment, the group visited the Border Management Museum, a century-old commercial pedestrian street, and Chernigov Church, among other sites. They also attended a performance of the classic ballet The Nutcracker at the Mariinsky Theatre Primorsky Stage. A heartfelt moment occurred when Chinese and Russian students jointly sang the song "The Moon Represents My Heart," using music as a bridge to narrow distances and demonstrate the warmth and power of cultural exchange.

For the field study component, teachers and students ascended the Eagle's Nest Hill viewing platform to overlook the panoramic vista of Vladivostok, gaining a direct understanding of the city's geographical layout and strategic importance. They also visited the S-56 Submarine Museum, the Triumphal Arch, and the Eternal Flame memorial, where historical explanations deepened their reflection on the value of peace and the weight of history.

In their reflections, many participating students expressed that the tour was not only a feast for the eyes and the mind but also an experience of intellectual and emotional growth. Student representatives from Harbin Institute of Petroleum, Guangdong Technology College, Huaibei Institute of Technology, and Ma'anshan College shared that they gained friendships and broadened their horizons through immersion in a different culture, further strengthening their resolve to pursue their ideals and explore the world.

Accompanying faculty noted that the activity transcended the boundaries of traditional classrooms, creating a diverse and multidimensional learning environment that truly realized the educational goal of "integrating knowledge with practice." Mr. Tong Yu, Director of Overseas Operations at China KEPEI Education Group and Vice President for International Affairs at Harbin Institute of Petroleum, emphasized that this study tour to Vladivostok represents an important step in the Group's efforts to expand educational cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road route. Moving forward, the Group will continue to innovate in cultivating talents with international competencies, building broader platforms for global exchange to develop a new generation of talents with a global perspective.
This study tour to Vladivostok was not merely an extension of the classroom across mountains and seas, but a transformative journey integrating academics, culture, and history. China KEPEI Education Group firmly believes that the best classroom is always out in the world, and the most inspiring answers are to be found through firsthand experience. Adhering to its educational mission, the Group will continue to create more opportunities for students to engage with the world, nurturing a new generation equipped with national pride, global vision, and cross-cultural understanding, allowing the beauty of education to unfold across broader horizons.
